Verruca Treatment
£55 (first) and £45 (follow-up)

We offer a variety of treatments which are stronger than shop bought alternatives including a new technology developed in the UK which uses microwave waves to penetrate stubborn verrucas.
We also offer a revolutionary new verruca treatment called ‘Swift’ please section for more details.
We assess your general well-being and foot health before deciding on a treatment plan.
Swift Verruca Treatment
from £105

WHAT IS SWIFT®?
Swift is a new technology, developed in the UK, which has been licensed for the general treatment of skin lesions in Podiatry and Dermatology. Swift uses microwave energy which is delivered through a special probe applied to the skin to treat the affected tissue.
DOES IT HURT?
It is not uncommon for patients to feel a sharp sensation, similar to an injection. Unlike most treatments for verruca, pain felt during the treatment quickly subsides, and only in rare cases is there any prolonged pain.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTER TREATMENT?
In some cases the treated area may feel sore but will not usually prevent you undertaking normal daily activities.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This is dependent on how you respond to treatment. In some cases, you may require a course of treatment (treatment regime is determined by your clinician at Elmscroft Podiatry and we will be able to discuss this with you).
CAN ANYONE RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT?
With a few exceptions, most people with skin lesions would be able to have this treatment. Swift is not recommended for use on diabetic patients, patients with implanted electronic devices or electrodes or for use close to metallic objects (i.e. metal foot implants, jewellery etc)
Biomechanical Assessment
£85 for 45 minute initial exam. £45 for 30 minute review

This appointment is suitable for anyone experiencing lower limb pain.
Muscoskeletal biomechanics is particularly beneficial for preventing and managing injuries in runners and weight bearing sporting activities such as football, hockey, rugby, tennis or cricket.
The podiatrist will undertake an in-depth assessment of your foot mechanics which involves a number of diagnostic tests and/or video gait analysis.
Recommendations may be made for temporary, pre-fabricated custom made or bespoke orthoses at an extra cost with prices starting from £45.00.
Orthotic Therapy
from £45

We offer a range of insoles to our patients to fit all conditions and patient’s needs.
From temporary customized insoles to prescription orthoses made from a 3D scan of your foot.
Our podiatrist can customise a temporary device to fit and compliment your biomechanics to treat your symptoms.
We also offer more durable customizable devices that are designed to take the pressures of high impact activities whilst still giving the required support.
At the clinic, we also have the technology to produce prescription orthotic devices of the highest quality, here we use a 3d scan of your foot to give you the most durable and personal orthotic from our range.
Nail Surgery
£370 for Partial Nail Removal (per toe)

Sometimes an ingrowing nail is so painful and infected that routine podiatry will not resolve the problem long term. In this case we would offer nail surgery to correct this problem permanently.
All or part of the nail is removed under a local anaesthetic and a chemical is used to stop the nail growing back.
This is a very straight forward procedure requiring a 40 minute surgical appointment with a couple of follow up consultations. This package includes surgery, dressings and redressing appointments until fully healed.
Nail surgery from £370 per toe – partial or full removal for ingrown toenails. Includes up to 3 follow-up appointments and a small supply of dressings. A 50% deposit secures your 1-hour surgery. A prior assessment appointment is required.
Dressing / Check Up
£30 for up to 15 minutes

Like other medical clinics, Elmscroft Podiatry operates a cancellation policy.
We require 24 hours notice to cancel a clinic or home visit appointment.
Like you, our time is valuable, and we politely request that you give at least 24 hours notice (or more if possible) when you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives us an opportunity to reallocate your appointment to someone else, and this is more difficult to do the less notice we have.
Please call us on (01527) 757958 and leave a message with our receptionist or out of hours voicemail service.
Patients who have booked online and pre-paid and fail to attend, or attend too late to be seen, will not receive a refund. Patients who have not pre-paid will be required to pay the missed appointment fee prior to any further appointments being made.
We are aware that from time to time circumstances dictate that an appointment may be missed.
Exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the clinic.
